Ester Abawag Salomon

Ester was born on September 3, 1920 to Antonio and Emilia Abawag in Manila, Philippines. She and her older brother, Antonio, attended Adventist Christian schools and pursued degrees in service for the Lord. Ester graduated from Philippine Union College and began her career of 41 years teaching in church schools within the Manila area. During this time she married her late husband, Primitivo P. Salomon, and had two children, Samuel and Emily May. After retirement, she and Primitivo moved to the United States to live with her daughter and family in Virginia. Here she continued with her passion of working with children through volunteering at Tidewater Junior Academy/Tidewater Adventist Academy as a teacher’s aide and teaching in church as a Sabbath School leader. Ester is survived by her two children, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She truly loved serving the Lord and was a woman after God's heart. Her memory will live on with those she has touched through her child evangelism and her mission to serve. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
