Deric Jason Emory

Deric Jason Emory, 45, passed away on January 21, 2023. He is preceded in death by Stewart and Doris McDorman, and Aunt Donna Ferguson; as well as his paternal grandmother Ernestine Holdbrooks. Deric was a selfless, caring, and loving man, he would help anyone in need. He was known for cracking jokes and had such a contagious laugh. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding four-wheelers. He also loved collecting guns, knives and fishing gear. He is survived by his mother, Joanne Johnson; his brothers, David Emory Jr., Lorin Emory; his sister, Chris Emory; his nieces, Caitlin Emory, Courtney Emory, Malorie Emory; his nephews, Caleb Bossuot, Devon Emory, Zachary Emory and Great-niece, Sophia. A celebration of life for Deric will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
