Dawn Veree Kofroth

Dawn Veree Kofroth, 78 died peacefully in Edmond, Oklahoma on April 21, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel and LaRue Heckman. Mrs. Kofroth was a proud U.S Navy wife of 20 years. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kofroth worked as a general manager for Walsworth Publishing Company. She was predeceased by her husband, Irvin Stanley Kofroth of 38 years.
She is survived by her three children: son, Darin Kofroth of Oklahoma, daughters Jeanine Kidder of Virginia, and Yvette Hahn of Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Amanda and Billy Kidder; Kathleen Stepp, Rebecca, and Kimberly Hahn; six great grandchildren Richard (Richie) Clarke; Monroe, and Skyler Stepp; Aspen, Jameson, and Elliott (Ellie) Stokes, and great grandson Kent Kidder expected in August 2024; and sister Denise Greening of Virginia. Mrs. Kofroth was predeceased by her brother, William Heckman.
A special thank you to caregivers Hope and Jay for their kindness, special attention and love bestowed upon our mom.
The family would also like to thank Companion Healthcare of Oklahoma (Brook, Aime, Misti, Jessica, Alice, and Stephanie) for their Hospice Services and compassionate and loving care while caring for our mother.
The family will receive friends and family at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel from 1 to 2 pm Monday, April 29, 2024, followed by funeral services at 2 pm. Private family Interment in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens will commence at 3 pm.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad of Virginia Beach.
