David Lawrence Simmons, 64, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2016.
David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised in Virginia Beach. He was employed with Newport News Shipyard as a Planner 2 for thirty-nine and a half years. He enjoyed Formula One Racing, coffee, his cats, and music was a big part of his life.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-two years Dorothy Louise Simmons; his parents David C. and Audrey M. Simmons; daughter Rebecca T. Simmons; three brothers Peter, Paul and John Simmons.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 11:00 a.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
