Christine “Teen” Marie Bennett, 30, passed away on November 7, 2021. She was a member of the Color Guard at Indian River High School where she graduated with honors in 2009. Christine attended TCC and Hampton University, in pursuit of her dream of becoming a marine biologist. With her love of all animals, Independence Veterinary Hospital became the perfect place to help the animals she so loved. In her spare time she enjoyed gaming, baking and anything Harry Potter, as she was a Hufflepuff for life. Christine had a wonderful soul and everyone around her felt her love, compassion, and kindness. She enjoyed spending time with family and spoiling her niece and nephew. Her love and joy will be missed tremendously.
Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Jimmy Coughlin; father, Bill Bennett; mother, Patti Bennett; sister, Elizabeth Keegan (Patrick); niece, Olivia Keegan; and nephew, Jameson Keegan; grandmother, Joyce Bennett; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Friday November 12, 2021 from 6pm-8pm at the Smith and Williams Funeral Home at 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
