Beverly Jean Baker

She was born on August 20, 1949 in Morgantown, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Elmer Carl and Beatrice Clara (Wolfe) Bixler. On March 30, 1968 in the Lake Lynn Pennsylvania Chapel, she married Alvin Carl Baker who was her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, he preceded her in death on April 21, 2003.

Mrs. Baker lived in Florida and Maryland before moving to Virginia Beach about 20 years ago. She loved the Florida Keys and was passionate about her pets, including her two rescued greyhounds, Lovie and Angel. She was a florist and enjoyed raising flowers. She was also an avid reader. Mrs. Baker was a methodist by faith.

Beverly is survived by two sisters: Sherry and her husband Rory of Virginia Beach; Heather and her husband Shaun of Waterford, Connecticut; a brother, Brad and his wife Debbie of Freeland, Pennsylvania; and five nephews and one niece.
