Born in Virginia, Beryl was a graduate of Portlock High School in South Norfolk. She was employed by Peltz Marine Inc. as the office manager for many years before her retirement in 1995.
Beryl was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had an infectious smile and laugh that would light up a room. She was loving, kind, funny, smart, mischievous, and generous. She loved to talk, read, do crossword puzzles, and she was a great cook. She always enjoyed a good mystery movie on T.V. She loved the beach and the sun and spent some great years living on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
She was predeceased by her parents Claude and Mellie Whittington, her husband William J. Mustain, and a sister Joanne O’Neal.
Beryl is survived by her daughter Donna Fentress and life partner Bill Evans of Franklin, VA. Gregory Fentress and his wife Cindy of Pocomoke, MD. and Michael Mustain and his wife Kathy of Chesapeake, VA. She is also survived by a sister Lucille Lambert of Chesapeake, VA. a brother Larry Whittington of Varina, VA. 5 grandchildren, Jarrett, Jacob, Liz, Kip, and Brooke and 6 great grandchildren, Marquez, Fally, Ariah, Sophia, Chase and Gracie.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 22 at 10:30 at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home & Memorial Park 601 North Witchduck Road, Va. Beach. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 and a reception for family and friends will be held immediately after the burial. Memorial donations may be made in Beryl’s honor and memory to The Michael J.
