Beatrice Rhodes Daughtry

Beatrice (Bea) Rhodes Daughtry, 93, of Biloxi, MS passed away May 30, 2015. She was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. Bea spent most of her adult life in the Tidewater area of Virginia and moved to Biloxi in 2011.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elbert R. Rhodes of 32 years and her husband Col. George W.E. Daughtry of 26 years.

She is survived by her two sons John Rhodes (Barbara McDonald) of Biloxi, MS and David Rhodes of Flagstaff, AZ, and stepson George Daughtry (Jerry) of Fayetteville, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Rhodes of Gulfport, MS, Laura Mullins (Carl) of Biloxi, MS, Jennifer Daughtry of Fayetteville, GA, Robert Daughtry (Jennifer) of Atlanta, GA, Matthew McDonald (Melissa) of Ft. Richardson, AK, Brad McDonald (Reata) of Kapolei, HI, and Robert McDonald (Tara) of Dallas, TX and great grandchildren Sarah Grace Rhodes of Gulfport, John Thomas and Lauren Mullins of Biloxi, MS, Jackson Daughtry of Atlanta, GA, Cash McDonald of Kapolei, HI, and Kaleb, Jakob, Kyla, Jared, and Kaden McDonald, all of Ft. Richardson, AK.

Bea was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Biloxi, and of Bob and Betty Collins' Sunday School class. The family is so grateful for the praying and caring shown by her church family. The family is also grateful for the loving, tender care she received from the nursing staff at Greenbriar Nursing Center, D'Iberville, MS and Gentiva Hospice Services.

A graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, VA June 5, 2015 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First Baptist Church of Biloxi, 1560 Popps Ferry Rd, Biloxi, MS 39532.
