He was a native and longtime resident of Vinton before moving to Orange, Texas in 1989. He worked for many years in the ship building and pipe fitting industry. Rickey enjoyed riding 4 wheelers, listening to music, especially going to concerts, and was an avid New Orleans Saints and LSU football fan.
Survivors include his children, Rebecca Bossley and husband, Gary, Michael Joseph Vincent and wife, Jessica, Angela Cockerham and husband, Jason, Matthew Vincent and wife, Jami, Monica Vincent, Haileigh Vincent, and Cameron Vincent, all of Orange, Texas, and John Paul Vincent and wife, Kelly of Vinton; his brothers, J.L. Vincent and Kenneth Vincent of Vinton; his sister, Carolyn Whitaker of Lumberton, Texas; seventeen grandchildren, Gabrielle Trahan, Brennan Kespelher, MaLisa Vincent, Makayla Vincent, Alexis Hendry, Alysen Vincent, Peyton Vincent, Dominic Vincent, Alexis LeMaire, Keagen Cockerham, Alysha Vincent, Kassidy Vincent, Kirstin Vincent, Kylee Vincent, Kollin Vincent, Izek Deshotel, and Logan Deshotel; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Gayle Vincent; his parents, Joseph Yule Vincent and Lula Mae Vincent Young; his daughter, Stephanie Vincent; and a grandson, Ethan Vincent.
A Celebration of Rickey's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Sunday with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
