He was a native of Orange, TX and lived in Vinton, LA for the last twenty-four years where he raised his family. He worked for the last six years as a manager at Dunham Price, LLC in Westlake. Big Mike loved his family, and was very involved with his sons and grandkids. He also coached his sons little league baseball teams. His hobbies were spending time camping at Toledo Bend, and cooking bar-b-que and Thanksgiving dinner for his family every year.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Cindy Trahan; two sons, Michael Trahan and wife, Allison and Shaun Trahan and partner Heather Matthews and son, Blayne Milstead; special nephew, Brandon Trahan and wife, Tammy; three beautiful grandchildren, Taytum Trahan, Steele Trahan, Abigail Trahan, and Griffin Trahan that will be here in February; his mother, Darlene Klinkhammer and husband, John, four sisters, Gloria Briggs, Evelyn Busby and husband, James, Lorrie Trantham and husband, Bobby, and Karen Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Ricky Watson officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange Texas.
