She was a native of Maurice and had been a resident of Vinton since 1961, coming from Orange, Texas. Ann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, and a former member of the Dietary Manager's Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Menard Darby of Pearland, Texas; three sons, Brent Menard of Kirbyville, Texas, Keith Menard of Mont Belvieu, Texas, and Ryan Menard of Orange, Texas; one brother, Jerry Denais of Kaplan; two sisters, Louella Bourque of New Iberia and Marlene Broussard of Breaux Bridge; and eleven grandchildren, Travis, Michael, Seth, Jeremy, Ashlea, Lyndsey, and Lauren, Clayton Mendard, Jr., Shanna Trahan, Jessica Darby, and Allyson Blankenburg. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Menard; her son, Clayton Menard; and a brother, Michael Denais.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 8, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Susil Fernando will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with a rosary service at 6 p.m. and visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.
