Words by Michael McCroskey:
I met Tim at McCambridge Park in Burbank. He was 17 and I was 15. He was friendly and good at ping pong. He also had a 53 Mercury so we palled around together. He was known for street racing no matter what car he had. Studebaker, larte, mercury cyclone, falcon sprint.
He worked with his Dad at Allen Design and learned welding, drill press, etc. Mostly aircraft parts for Lockheed.
He married Connie Lang in 1968 and had 2 sons, Timothy Jr (TJ), and Michael. He and Connie later divorced in 1977.
Tim's passion was bowling. He was very good, just had to ask him and he would tell you. He rolled 9,300 games. IN 1976 he opened his on bowling Pro Shop, Balls Are Us, in Rancho Cucamonga. He drilled and polished the balls as well. He sadly sold the business after 2 years.
Tim loved working with children sports. He coached soccer and little league with some success. He met and married Carol in 1981 and they were happy until her death in 2006. Most of Tim's life he talked of bowling and cars. In the last 10-15 years he only talked of his love Carol. His heart truly broke with her passing, and I'm sure he is at peace being with her again.
There are no services for Tim, at his request. He will be laid to rest at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 Amargosa Rd, Victorville CA 92392, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1 PM. The date is actually Elvis' birthday which Tim was a huge fan and memorabilia collector of.
