Tom was born June 22, 1940 in Ayr, Scotland. He immigrated to Victorville, California with his young wife Moira McKay in 1964. Tom left an indelible mark on everyone that he came in contact with. He had such a ferocious love for life and knew how to enjoy it, navigating through all of its complexities and beautiful simplicities.
He was an extremely loving, generous, devoted, passionate, honest, caring husband, father, papa, brother, uncle. He was a dedicated hard worker, longtime member of Church of the Valley and a loyal servant to God. He loved horse racing, football (soccer), playing Blackjack in Vegas, singing, dancing and sharing a wee dram with new and old friends alike.
Tom was preceded in death by his loving wife, Moira McKay, parents Margaret and William McKay, brothers Adam, Sandy, Crawford and sister-in-laws Betty, Sheila, Jennifer, Isobel, nephews Big Drew and Young Crawford all from Scotland and beloved nephew Scott McKay of Apple Valley. He was followed in death by his twin brother Bob, sister Ruth and sister-in-law Agnes McKay and nephew Billy McKay all from Scotland.
Tom is survived by his loving daughter Allison and Bob Harriman, son Tommy McKay and Vicente Saldanha, son Cameron McKay, son Raymond McKay and Lauren Wyatt; four grandchildren Bobby, Ian and Denai, Logan and Izzy, Duncan Harriman. Loving brother Jim and sister-in-law Joyce McKay, nieces Heather and Tom Folger, Lorna and Frank Smith and their loving families. Siblings, Gordon, Nanette, Drew, Betty, Gus, Liz, Raymond, Margaret, Jack, Johnny, Ann and their caring families of Scotland.
