Barbara Jean Womack

Barbara Jean Womack was born on September 15, 1951, in San Francisco, California, to the late parents of Prettise Earl Lyles and Annie Bee Harris. Barbara survived her departed husband Curtis Womack Jr.

Barbara J. Womack graduated from Manual Arts Senior High School in Los Angeles, California, on February 19, 1970, and received two Associate of Arts degrees in Arts & Humanities and Social & Behavioral Science Emphasis. Barbara was working on completing her Bachelor of Science in Management from University of Phoenix; she was 30 credits from graduating.

Barbara was an art enthusiast. Her best enjoyment in life was fishing, traveling, painting, and giving to others. She was employed at United States Postal Service, Union Bank, Getty Oil and Texaco Incorporated as a Data Entry Operator. Finally, she transitioned careers to a professional transportation driver for children at Laidlaw and First Student Incorporated. Barbara has more than 21 years in public transportation.

She will be sadly missed by her three children Eddie Dean Monette Jr., Anjanette L. Monette (Angie), La Shanda T. Monette, and one son-in-law Calvert G. Love. Her grandchildren; Tyquaise T. Monette, Nicole S. Bristol-Monette, Shawn J. Monette, Nickary A. Monette, and Lyric Daniels; two great-grandchildren Nyla Monette-Menser, Hasani A. Monette, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
