in Victoria to the late G.W. Wheeler and Charlotte Delphine Harris. Billy was the former owner of Wheeler Plumbing and
was third generation of his family in that craft. He was also the Chief Plumbing inspector for many years for the City of Victoria.
Billy also served on the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. He was a proud 1949 Graduate of Texas A&M University
and was a ‘die hard’ Aggie. Billy was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served faithfully.
He was a Past President and longtime member of the Victoria Noon Lions Club; Past District Governor of 2 S 4 in Lions and
was inducted into the Lions Club Hall of Fame.
Survivors include sons, Wm. “Winston” Wheeler and wife Dee; and Lee Roberts Wheeler; mother of his children,
Mary “Pood” Wheeler; grandchildren, Niki Rushing, William W. “Will” Wheeler, Jr. and Geoffrey Wheeler; great-grandchildren,
Weston and Wyatt Wheeler, Natalyn Wheeler and Zane Doggett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Geoffrey L. Wheeler.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on
Monday, June 23, 2014, 2 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Kara Hairell and Rev. Don Angerstein officiating.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Will Wheeler, Geoff Wheeler, Paul Rushing, Wendall Wilson, Godfred “Jr.” Berger and Dr. Gary Mueller.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Kenneth Mueller, Edward Pela, Noble Hartman and all members of the Victoria Noon Lions Club.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Growth Fund, Lions Eye Bank, The Texas Lions Camp
or The Texas Aggie Corp of Cadets Association.
