Theresa Simcik

Mary “Theresa” Simcik, 92, of Victoria passed away October 10, 2024. She was born January 29, 1932, in Gonzales, TX to Julian and Mary Beeson Fougerat. Theresa was a homemaker, and a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.

Theresa is survived by her daughters, Debbie Mladenka (Paul), Paula Owen, Mary Bitterly (Keith); son, John Simcik; daughter-in-law, Debbie Simcik; sister-in-law, Evelyn Gibson; grandchildren, Bryan Rolette, John Owen (Lacey), Michael Owen, Phillip Reagan (Yvonne), Ty Reagan, Kaley Bitterly (Javier Perez), Kyle Bitterly, Aaron Simcik (Lauren), and Ethan Simcik, Theresa also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, with another on the way, all of whom will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Simcik; son, Mark Simcik; sister, Dorothy Garner; and brother, Gerald Fougerat.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 5-6:30pm, followed by reciting of the Rosary at 6:30pm, all at Colonial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10am at Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.
