Theodore "Ted" Geelmuyden Seel died amongst his family on September 27th. He was born in Dallas on August 20, 1945, the oldest child of Letha Merrick and the late Norman Seel. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife for 40 years, Carol Felger Seel.
In addition to his mother, Ted is survived by his son, Ryan Seel and his wife, Lynsie Jordan Seel and her daughter, Carson Caton; his son, Corey Seel and Ted's grandchildren, Elaine Carol Seel and Jackson Theodore Seel; his sister, Melissa Parsons and her husband and children; his sister, Abigail Mureen and her husband and children; and his brothers-in-law, Charles and Milton Felger and their families.
Ted was a graduate of Texas Lutheran College and attained a degree while playing football. He also met Carol while attending school and began a life-long romance. After college, he attended St. Mary's University for law school. He was an outstanding and caring lawyer for his entire career, while serving many residents of Victoria. He also served Victoria as a Justice of the Peace from 2012 through 2014.
Ted was known by his friends and family as "Teddy" or "Teddy Bear." He was an exceptional husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend to many. Teddy enjoyed many things over the course of his life, including golfing with close friends at Victoria Country Club, the Texas Longhorns, fishing the bays of Port of O'Connor with family and friends and cooking fine meals for any occasion. He was a role model as a father to his sons and he loved being a grandfather. His "Pinky" and Jax will cherish the memories of their Teddy for a lifetime. He touched many lives with his generosity. Ted will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the First English Lutheran Church, 516 N. Main, in Victoria, Pastor Jim Pearson presiding.
Honorary Pallbearers are John Paul and Lisa Anger, Larry and Mary Oates, Dr. Charles Felger, Don Pozzi, Trisha Easterling, Ben and Gay Heilker, Nancy Wilkinson and Barry Smith.

A reception including a lunch for family and friends will be at Felger Hall in First English Lutheran Church following the services.
