Robert G. O’Neill, 91 of Victoria formerly of Beaumont, TX passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born November 21, 1930 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Robert J. and Bertha Schneidewind O’Neill. Robert served his country during the Korean Conflict serving 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, and after completing his graduate degree at the University of Colorado, he spent 35 years as Professor at Lamar University achieving Emeritus status.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Laura M. O’Neill. He is survived by his daughter Erin Marroquin and husband Santiago of Victoria; son Tim O’Neill of Victoria, and three grandchildren Julian, Joaquin and Joel.
A memorial service with military honors are pending at this time.
