Richard H. Sanchez (also known as Bandit), 78, passed away April 4, 2019. He was born March 11, 1941 in Victoria to the late Jose Garza Sanchez and Ysidra Hernandez Sanchez. He was a retired painter. Richard was a member of the Presbyterian Iglesia Nicea Church.
Survivors include his wife, Irma Barrera Sanchez of Victoria; daughters, Carolyn L. Sanchez of Austin and Irma Lynn Alonzo of Corpus Christi; son, Joe M. Sanchez of Houston; sister, Stella Maldonado of Victoria; brothers, Gilbert H. Sanchez of Port Lavaca and Paul Sauseda of Victoria; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7 pm Monday, April 8, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels, with a Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Presbyterian Iglesia Nicea Church, 401 S. DeLeon St. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky DeLeon, Roy DeHoyos, Paul Sauseda Jr., Jonathan DeLaRosa, Raymond DeLeon, Donavon Culpepper, J. D. Culpepper, Lucirio Antonio Barrera and Daniel Hernandez.
