Michael F. Spears, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on the 18th of November 2023. Michael was a lifelong resident of Victoria being born on March 22, 1955 to Arthur A. and Katherine Raab Spears.
He worked as a systems administrator for the Dewitt Lavaca Special Education Cooperative and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral.
Michael is survived by his wife, Diana Spears of Victoria; daughter Teresa Ann (Michael) Castenada; sons James Luke Spears, Michael Edward Spears all of Victoria; step-daughter Carrie (Alex) Sumrall of California; step-son Samuel A. Sumrall of Buda; brothers, John Spears, Greg Spears, David Spears; one grandson Ethan Castenada and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a sister Katherine Spears and a brother Arthur V. Spears.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 4-6 pm at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 6 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 2 pm on Wednesday with burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
