Mabel Lucille Matson

Mabel Lucille Keefe Matson, 90, of Telferner passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017. She was born February 3, 1927 in Telferner to the late James Houston and Mabel Robson Keefe. She graduated from Patti Welder High School (Class of 1944) in Victoria and York College in Nebraska. Lucille was a lifelong educator. She was also a member of the Telferner United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Julia Alma Matson of Telferner; sons, Chuck Matson (Kenda) of Victoria and Jim Matson of Telferner; sister, Dorothy Easley (Rex) of Telferner; 2 grandchildren, Keefe Matson and Charlsa Matson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Matson, Jr., her daughter, Katherine Annette Matson and sister, Margaret Annette Hill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10 am at Telferner United Methodist Church, Rev. Alex Alvarez officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chase Easley, Luther Easley, Johnny Stockbauer, Ryan Hill, Randy Hill and Travis Drost.
