JoAnn Schaefer Pendleton

JoAnn Schaefer Pendleton, 80, passed away September 16, 2016. She was born in Cuero, Texas on December 11, 1935 to the late Louis J. and Adele Luddeke Schaefer. She attended Patti Welder High School. JoAnn was the owner of the Ranch Motel in Victoria, a beautician, and a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at the Regional Hospital in Victoria and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She was born and raised a Lutheran, although she enjoyed learning about other religious faiths.

Survivors include her children, Katherine Dykes, Melissa L. Odom, Wallace C. Hall, Jr., and Cynthia A. Bayer; grandchildren, Becky A. Robertson, Sabrina Kellis, Monty Dykes, Tabatha Dykes, Tammy Gilbert, Jamie Pruitt, Jacob Gilbert, Aaron Odom, Paige Odom, Wallace C. Hall, III, Lacey Warner, Cody Jacobusse, Robert Bayer, Cyndal Hobbs, and Victor Cruz; great grandchildren, David Logan Pruitt, Rebecca Camacho, Emily Robertson, Haley Robertson, Madison Robertson, Morgan Robertson, Aylin Robertson, Carey Kellis, Miles Rangnow, Zoa Dykes, Vayda Dykes, Bethany Ramirez, Chloe Franklin, Mason Gilbert, Mallory Ransom, Mariah Ransom, Ashley Gainer, Nicholas Gilbert, Alaiya Gallegos, Isabel Orozco, Xavier Cavazos, Alyssa Hall, Ryann Warner, Kylyn Warner, Kylie Jacobusse, Taylor Bayer, Kaden Conway, Zachary Bayer, Zane Bayer, Parker Bayer, Caleb Hobbs, Zayda Hobbs, and Jase Hobbs; and great great grandchildren, Audrey Camacho, Bryson Camacho, Aleena Ramirez, and Elizabeth Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jessie Pendleton, and daughter Sharon Gilbert.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
