Helen "Irene" Hooton Mace

Helen Irene Hooton Mace, age 91, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She was born August 24, 1919 in St. Albans, West Virginia to the late Arthur and Levina Clonch Hooton. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was an active volunteer for many of the church's events. She also served at Christ's Kitchen for many years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Russell E. Mace, Jr. and Beverly S. Mace; grandson, Edward Scott Mace and wife Heather; great grandchildren Hadden Mace, Calla Mace, and Kayden Mace; and sister-in-law, Norma Hooton of South Charleston, West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell E. Mace; and brothers, Lawrence Hooton and Duane Hooton.

Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home. The Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 25, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Marilyn Roeder officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
