Frances Murray

Frances Murray, 60, of Victoria went to be with the Lord August 30, 2010. She was born May 12, 1950, in Victoria to the late Willie Mae Barefield Knox. Frances was a devoted caregiver, homemaker, mother and a faithful member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. She also was a devoted Bible Study member accepting Christ at an early age. These few words can't begin to completely describe the depth of the life she lived and the people touched by her love and care.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Shaylon Murray, of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Doris Hayes of Richmond, California, Glinda Girdy of Victoria, Texas, Beverly Wright of Richmond, California; brother, Jake Knox of Long Beach, California; two aunts, Nellie Scott of Cuero, Texas, Birdie Livingston of Corpus Christi, Texas; goddaughter, Tamala Edwards; godson, Rodney Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, Wayne Steward, Jessie Mae Steward, Janet Steward, Sonny Steward, Walter Stewart, Jr., Carroll Murray, Tonya Murray, Terry Murray, Gerald Murray, Jason Knox, Jeannine Knox, Stephanie Knox, Stephanie Givens and Robert Givens; great nieces and nephews, Jeremy Murray, Jody Swinton, Joshua Brooks, Jasmin Jackson; and great-great nephews, Malcolm Murray and Kamden Swinton; a host of friends

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, September 3, 2010, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, September 4, 2010, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Rev. Fred Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
