Celia R. Rocha

Celia was a florist in Refugio for over 40 years and a resident for over 60 years. She married Albert E. Rocha at St. James Catholic Church and they were married 56 years until his death in April 2002.

Celia moved to Victoria in 2004 and was a member of Our Lady of Victory Cathedral. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her children, Martha Carolyn Garcia (Claude) of Victoria, TX; Rosanne Pearson (Carl) of Nathrop, CO; Mary Margaret Fulbright (Jack) of Daniels, WV; Albert Mark Rocha (Bridgett) of Corpus Christi, TX and Julian Jeffery Rocha (Heidi Decker) of Ferndale, MI; grandchildren, Merissa Garcia, Claude Garcia, Jr., Daniel Garcia, Angela Garcia, Natalie Hilkes, Eric Rocha, Jessica Choate, Anthony Rocha, Christopher Rocha, Danielle Rodriguez and Cody Morales; 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Petra Moya Rodriguez.

Mrs. Rocha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert E. Rocha; brother, Enselmo Rodriguez; daughter-in-law, Darlene Shaw Rocha and great-great grandson, Giorgio Esquivel.

The family will have a visitation from 6 to 7 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, Texas, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm.

On December 28, 2015, the family will hold a visitation from 9 to 10 am followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, Refugio, TX. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Refugio, TX.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and sons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers are Mary Burgos Garcia, Dolores Soliz, Rose Reyes, Gloria Anzaldua, Veronica Rocha, Gaynell Tristan, Lydia Cardosa, Olivia Buentello; and goddaughters, Jeanette Allen and Monica Flores.

The family requests that in lieu of floral tributes, that memorial donations be made to St. James Catholic Church, Refugio, TX or Hospice of South Texas in Mrs. Rocha's memory.
