Billy Richard Tharp

Billy Richard Tharp, 90, of Victoria, passed away March 4, 2024. He was born January 12, 1934, in Sadler, Texas, to the late Richard and Edna Ione Burleson Tharp. He was a sincere Christian and dedicated family man, a true gentleman with a kind heart.

He is survived by his brother Roy Tharp of Houston and his sister, Betty Thomas, and her husband, Sidney, of Summerville; sons, Bill R. Tharp, Jr, and wife, Joyce, of Houston, Dale Tharp and wife, Christine, of Florida, and Larry Tharp and wife, Marianne, of South Carolina; daughters Terri Covington, husband, Craig, and granddaughter, Katie, of Victoria, Samantha Sullivan and husband, Scott, of Houston, Leanna Santos and husband, Mark, of Houston; stepsons Richard Comstock and wife, JoEllen, of Victoria, Rusty Comstock and wife, Barbara, of Victoria; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arline Baker Tharp.

A private service will be held. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
