Dear Anne & Family;
We were shocked & saddened  to learn of Bill's unexpected passing. It has been such a great pleasure to get to know you both as our close neighbours over the past 8 years. We know you will find great solace in your many happy memories of your lives together during your years on Pender. We will fondly remember Bill's golf games with our old Border Collie Pal Xena. Our thoughts are with you and any help we can provide is gladly offered.

Although I never met Bill, I have come to know his amazing daughter, Karen, in the last few years. Bill's legacy in such an incredibly kind, generous, intelligent, powerful and beautiful woman is exceptional.  Praying for each family member during this time of loss and wish I could be at the service to honour Karen's dad with you.

We are so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We spent time with Anne and Bill when they stayed in Oban with relatives.   Our condolennces to Anne and her family.  Maggie and David.

We were sorry to hear that Bill had passed away, we have fond memories of family times in Burntisland and then later in Canada. Always in our hearts and thoughts.

We are so very sorry to hear about Bill - he was a lovely man and we have wonderful memories of our holiday with you both at Pender Island.
Having met Bill in 1953 at RAF Halton where we were Trenchard Brats together, we became good friends. Although we only met a couple of times during the next 60+ years I always considered I could call Bill a friend so it was with great sorrow to hear of his death.

Please know that our thoughts are with you all at this sad time.  The photos bring back lots of lovely memories especially the ones in Burntisland which I remember as a child visiting you all there.  What's clear is that Bill led a full and far reaching life surrounded by a wonderful growing family.

On our visits to Bill and Anne we recall his kindness and generosity, He opened his home to the visitors, taking us in the car whenever we were stuck he gave up time to make sure we had a good time. We enjoyed many holidays with Bill and Anne is Canada, Ireland and Scotland. We are glad to have known Bill and he wont be forgotten. Louise and Brian.
