Robert John Spencer

Born in New Westminster, B.C. on May 18th, 1948

Robert attended school and graduated while living in Coquitlam, BC. He started his working career at Crown Zellerbach where he was employed for almost 22 years. In 1984 Robert was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease and underwent chemotherapy and radiation for almost 2 years. He bravely fought and won that battle and remained cancer free for 38 years. Robert, Joan, and Sons lived in Delta (twice), Langley, Vernon (twice), and Coquitlam and then moved to Nanaimo, BC in 2016. Robert became a Truck Driver while living in Vernon and retired at the age of 67. Robert was a devoted husband, father, and proud & loving grandfather to his 7 grandchildren.

Robert is predeceased by His Mother, Barbara (Babs) Spencer, and his Father John Lenard Spencer

Survived by wife of 41 years, Johanna (Joan) Spencer Son, Jason Frank Spencer of Kamloops, BC Son, James Robert Spencer of Langford, BC Son, Kevin William Spencer of Langford, BC Brother, William Gordon Spencer of Calgary, AB. Sister, Jean Sykes of Lake Country, BC. 7 Grandchildren, 4 Nephews, 4 Nieces
