Came to Canada in 1952 to rejoin her husband; travelling from England to New York, USA, via the Queen Mary steamship; then taking the CP Railway to Washington; before leaving the USA and arriving in British Columbia. She lived in Vancouver and Nanaimo, before settling in Victoria. June, as she liked to be called, volunteered for the Boys Club and GR Pearke's clinic, while raising her family.
