She is survived by her loving daughters, Janice (Gordie), Sharon (Doug) and Donna (Doug) and by her grandchildren, Kyle (Carin), Darren (Nicole), Tony (Jess), Kevin, Rick (Brenda) and Paul (Sarah). She was blessed with 11 great grandchildren. Jean was born in Adanac, Saskatchewan. She moved to Victoria in 1941 and married George in 1945. They moved to Rossland where their three daughters were raised. In 1969, she returned to Victoria. She had a long career in the Ministry of Education Human Resources. Upon retirement she volunteered for many years at the Cancer Society and was an active member of her church. She loved to garden, hike and travel with family and friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and playing cards. Jean was always very sociable, a generous hostess and a caring, kind lady.
Special thanks for the excellent care Jean received from the staff at Parkwood Place, from Dr. Paul Kachan and the Royal Jubilee Hospital. She was well loved and will live in our hearts forever.
