With great sadness we announce the passing of Jack Perry. February 22, 2022. After a 3 year cancer battle. Jack was born in Vancouver but spent most of his life growing up and living in Victoria. Predeceased by his parents, sister and son Kevin suddenly in 1995. He is survived by wife of 58 years, Carolynne, son Neil (Maricel) and loving granddaughters Victoria and Elizabeth, whom he adored. Also survived by his sister, brother, nieces and nephew in Alberta.
Jack was a well-known Masonry Contractor (Perry Mason Ltd.) leaving a legacy of numerous brickworks and buildings etc. throughout greater Victoria. He always said his proudest project built (by himself) was the house Jack built in 1989, which was our house, and is still today. After retiring from Masonry he took up house painting and driving Taxi. He just had to keep busy.
Throughout all those years Jack and Carolynne took many trips from skiing to cruising to bus tours and car trips. In between all the travel there were many road trips with our kids and later with the family and granddaughters. I must mention in between all the work and travel he took up golf and became very good but still loved to travel.
Jack will always be remembered by friends and family as kind, generous to a fault and famous for his chocolate chip cookies.
Bless his heart and soul and rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.firstmemorialsaanich.com for the Perry family.
