Helen Milburn Crisp passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024, with her husband of 40 years, Colin Crisp, by her side. Born in Carlisle, England, on January 11, 1944, Helen was the only daughter in a family of four children. She graduated from nursing in 1966 and remained in touch with her nursing colleagues throughout her life. However, her main career was in financial services with Mutual Life—one of a handful of women at the time—working in both Vancouver and Victoria.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Joyce Donald, and brothers, James and John. She is survived by her husband Colin; stepchildren, John Crisp (Fiona) and Laura O’Byrne (Jason); grandchildren, Meggin & Kirsten Crisp and Jennifer & Colin O’Byrne; brother, Charles Donald (Ann); sister-in-law, June Donald (David Jenkins); brother-in-law, Daniel Migneault; niece, Danna Donald (Ian Nichol); and great-nieces, Lennox and Alexandra. A celebration of life will be held on May 18th at 2 pm at St. George’s Anglican Church in Cadboro Bay.
