Dee was born on October 22, 1933 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Olga and Roy Melnychuk. The family moved to Burlington, Ontario when Dee was five years old where she grew up with her brother Jacob (Jake). At the age of eighteen Dee married Robert Douglas Forsayeth and they welcomed their first child, Dale Karen one year later. Seventeen months after that, their second child, Douglas Allan was born and together they lived in Edmonton for a time. From there the family moved to Richmond. They were blessed with two more children, David Roy and Dawn Lenore. Life took the family on many twists and turns. Dee was married later to Norman Enridge and after thirteen years together they parted. She had a brief marriage to Wayne Robertson. Always an adventurous sort, Dee, in her sixties, traveled to California where she met her fourth husband, Archie Miller. They married and lived in the U.S. for twenty years before she moved back to Canada on her own.
Dee was a uniquely talented artist with a passion for music, painting, needlework, and her own creation Natureart. She also wrote and published a magazine “Single Minded” and authored a book called “Life Is A Dance”. Dee was a woman who loved her Lord and Savior worshipping happily at Mosaic Church in Victoria.
Dee was predeceased by her brother Jake and most recently by her daughter Dale in 2022. Dee will be lovingly remembered by her other three children, Doug (Jan), David (Antonio), Dawn (Martin) as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her cousins, nieces and nephews.
