Carol was born in the UK and left home to join the Air Force. A friend moved to Canada and later sponsored Carol to come. She came by ship, and felt green the entire passage. When she arrived she immediately applied for a job with bell Canada and worked there for the next 25 years.
She met and married Ken who Carol is pre deceased by.
She retired at 55 and went on to work in real estate , home care and scholarship funds.
She also hosted many students from Japan over the years.
She loved attending church and volunteering wherever she was needed. She was the treasurer of The Prime Timers at Central Baptist for over twenty years and went on lots of fun trips with them. She was a greeter and also volunteered in the nursery.
Carol had a great sense of humour and found joy in everything she did.
She had many amazing friendships. Her smile and friendly nature made her loved by all who knew her.
Her hobbies were Scrabble, Upwords, music, table tennis , outdoor concerts and family.
Above all, she loved her family. She was the best Mother , Baba and Great Baba to all of us. We were her everything, and she was ours. We will think of her and remember her with love every day.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy can be shared with the family at her Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 18 at 1 pm at Central Baptist Church, 833 Pandora Ave, Victoria, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Carol’s name to Central Baptist Church. That’s what she would have wanted. She was a very practical lady.
