We would like to thank Vernon Funeral Home for their assistance in this difficult time. A memorial service will be held in the spring. An announcement will be made prior to the service.
Wilma was born October 28, 1932 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She received secretarial training from Balfour Tech in Regina and was a stay at home mom for many years. She began a career as a Clerk Stenographer with the Provincial Government of B.C. The majority of her time was spent in the Government Agent's office, but occasionally Wilma worked with the court registry. She worked her way up through the ranks and retired as the Deputy Government Agent in the Kelowna Government Agent's Office.
Wilma is survived by her husband Dalton Dean of Vernon, B.C., daughter Ruth Dean of Vernon, B.C., son Bruce Dean (Maryann) of Burns Lake, B.C., six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Wilma was predeceased by her parents Archie and Margaret, her sisters Di and Bunty, her brothers Sonny and Ron, and her great-grandson Gabriel.
We also would like to acknowledge everyone in our extended family, friends, and medical professionals who touched Mom's life and were touched by hers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1589 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5Y7.
Rest softly with our Lord, Mom. You were a wonderful mother, and you will always be in our hearts.
