announce the
passing of our
wife and mother
Sharon Lue Sasaki
(nee Ritchie). On
Thursday April 21st 2011 at the age of 62,
Sharon lost her battle with brain cancer. She
passed away peacefully at Hospice House
surrounded by her loving family.
Sharon was born in Regina Saskatchewan
on November 1st 1948. She moved to Vernon
in 1974 and soon married the love of her life,
Joe Sasaki, in 1976. Sharon was a passionate
and talented quilter that will always be
remembered for her sense of humour and
dedication to her family and friends.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her
husband of 35 years Joe Sasaki and her three
daughters Calla, Elisha and Shina. Along with
her sisters Darlynn Cook of Regina, Sandy
(Larry) Prefontaine of Prince George, Carol
Hendy of Abbotsford, Glenda (Bruce) Watt
of Barriere, her sister-in-law Betty Smith of
Abbotsford, her husband’s extended family
and her many nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her parents, John and Isobel
Ritchie, her brother Keith Ritchie and her
brother-in-law David Hendy.
Her celebration of life will be held at Trinity
United Church 3300 Alexis Park Drive, Vernon
BC at 2pm Thursday April 28th 2011. Rev.
Robert Thompson will be offi ciating and a
reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of fl ower those wishing to make
memorial contributions in memory of Sharon
may do so to the North Okanagan Hospice
