Marie Jeannette Bohme

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marie Jeannette Bohme at Vernon Jubilee Hospital on July 22, 2024. Marie (Jean) was born in Edmonton, Alberta on July 1, 1943. Marie (Jean) leaves behind her husband Robert (Bob) of 61 years, her kitty; Tina, Daughter; Yvonne (Al) Piazza, Granddaughter; Brittinie, Daughter; Debra (Keith) Green, Grandchildren; Jacob and Tyra, Half-brother; Roger (Anita) Houle. Marie (Jean) grew up in Cold Lake, Alberta where she met Robert working at the Cold Lake Air Force Base mess hall. They began dating and were married in 1963. In 1975 Bob and Marie (Jean) moved their family to Vernon, where she worked at Vernon Jubilee Hospital for 25 years. Marie (Jean) had a love for animals especially cats, and children. She was a wonderful cook and baker. If you had a birthday, Marie (Jean) would whip up her special angel food cake, which was a family favourite. Marie (Jean) was always cooking or baking and in the fall; canning. No one will forget her famous potato donuts or cinnamon buns! Not to mention the care she took in her special gift wrapping. Mom was kind, with a loving heart, and never a bad word to say about anyone. Life will not be the same without you mom. We will find peace in knowing you have found comfort and are free to be yourself again. We love you and will miss you always.
