Georgina Alice Ruth Glover

Georgie Glover passed on peacefully to her eternal home on April 9, 2024. She was born September 26, 1931 in Trail, BC. She married Robert (Bob) Glover, on November 23, 1951 and lived in Rossland, BC, for 60 wedded years. They had two children, Brian and Donna. Family was extremely important to her. Georgie was actively involved in her church and in community service. Moving to Vernon in 2011, Georgie and Bob quickly started to make friends. Bob passed away February, 2012. Georgie participated in church activities before the COVID pandemic and health issues made it difficult to attend. She moved into Canterbury Court in July, 2016 where she tried to brighten everyone’s day with a smile and a greeting. Her family was very pleased with the excellent compassionate care she received in her final days while she was at Gateby Short Stay. Georgie is survived by: Brian and Candace Glover, Donna and Lawrence MacAulay, 5 grandchildren and partners; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, donations in Georgie’s memory, based on her life time of service, would be encouraged to be given to organizations supporting youth. A Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 20th at Knox Presbyterian Church, 3701 32nd Ave, Vernon, B.C.
