1948-2015
Donna Dawe (born Violet Bertrand), passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep in Montreal, on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the age of 66.
Born December 22, 1948 in Beaurepaire, Quebec, to Jane Bertrand, she was baptised and raised by the Dawe family.
For several years she was employed by RCA. Predeceased by partner, Milton Ledwidge, and parents John Dawe and Frances Eaglesham.
She is survived by her daughter Amanda Ledwidge, grand-daughter Ashley, and brothers Gordon, John, and Jim Dawe, and Eric and Raymond Levitt.
A loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, she spent much of her time with her daughter and grand-daughter, so often fondly telling Ashley, "I just love you to pieces !" Known as an outgoing, friendly spirit, she enjoyed deep conversation. She had a love for animals – cats in particular, and enjoyed baking homemade cookies and brownies. She was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
There will be a gathering held after cremation to honor her memory and to share wonderful moments spent with her.
It will take place on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5-9 pm at the Laurent Theriault Funeral Home,
512 de L'Eglise, Verdun, 514 769 3867, and will include a message by a celebrant at 7 pm.
