It is with tremendous grief and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Ruben “RJ” Jesus Arroyo. A beautiful life cut short too soon, RJ tragically passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018.
He was born December 16, 2008 to loving parents Ruben Arroyo and Veronica Viveros. RJ was a kind-hearted child who was always smiling, and who loved his family and friends. He would have been in the 4th grade at Camarillo Heights Elementary School.
RJ loved Legos, watching YouTube and playing Fortnite. RJ was his little sister Roxi’s best friend (Ok, not always) and role model. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins Sophie, Jacklynn, Victoria and Analissa. RJ loved playing board games, having nerf gun wars and dance contests with them. He spent his summer days at horse camp, swimming at the beach, riding his bike and fishing off the pier with his father. RJ liked going to Target with his parents and watching super hero movies at the theater. But hated eating vegetables.
RJ was enthusiastic for life and new experiences. Loved Disneyland and theme parks, was so excited when he had the chance to fly in an airplane to visit Hawaii. Enjoyed nature, hiking, camping trips and looked forward to holidays and celebrations with his family.
RJ played for Saticoy little league baseball with his cousins Russell and Aaron and was a huge fan of the Dodgers, especially Yasiel Puig. He loved Dodger Stadium and would tease his mom every time Cody Bellinger struck out.
RJ is survived by his parents, Ruben and Veronica; sister, Roxi; older brothers, Joshua and Angel; Uncle Juan and Aunts Hollie, Vanessa, Daisy and Mari; Aunt Angie; and cousins Michelle, Melissa and Jacque; Along with numerous family members.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Alma Arroyo, whom he loved visiting at the cemetery. RJ will also rest alongside his great grandparents and two uncles.
