She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Antonio (Tony) Lopez; parents, Manuel and Jesusita Bustos Aguirre; brothers, Refugio and Ray Aguirre; sister, Mary Sienz; and son-in-law, Arthur Arroyo, Sr.
Louise survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen (Lopez) Arroyo; niece, Margie Valdez, including many other nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Arthur Arroyo, Jr., Amanda Arroyo and Abel (Andrea) Arroyo; great grandchildren, Alexus, Anthony, Gabriella, Daniella Arroyo, Ripley and Skkyler Perez, lastly Little Nikolas Arroyo.
At a young age, Louise loved to roller-skate. In 1950, she married Tony Lopez. She enjoyed family BBQ’s and traveling along side with her husband Tony to Dodger games and Vegas Turnarounds. Louise was employed by Hueblins-Chileria Factory in Oxnard.
Louise will be remembered as the rock and glue of the family, her famous homemade tortillas and beans, her corky sayings and her “vicious dog” BettyBoop.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura, and recitation of the rosary will begin at 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 10800 Henderson Road, in Ventura. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H Street, in Oxnard.
