Frankie “Mono” Anthony, 85, passed away at home in Ojai on Saturday, August 4, 2012 after a short bout with cancer. She was born on December 5, 1926 in Hall County, TX. She married the love of her life, Conley Anthony on July 22, 1946. They moved to La Conchita in 1952 and then to Meiners Oaks in 1957 where she lived until her death.
Frankie was a dedicated wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress and made many professional quality clothes for her family. She was a great cook and loved to garden. As her children grew up she was a Cub Scout den mother and active in the PTA. Then again when her grandchildren were growing up she was very involved in supporting their activities. She was a member of the Ojai Church of Christ for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Conley Anthony and son Elvis Anthony.
She is survived by her children, Danny Anthony and wife Karen of Plymouth, MN, Connie Porter and husband Larry of Stigler, OK, Vicki Littlejohn and husband Michael of Ojai, CA, and Daughter-in-law, Mary Anthony of Tucson, AZ; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
You were a wonderful woman. We love you and will miss you very much.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012, both at Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Dr., Ventura. Tel. 642-8134. Interment will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
