After 68 years and a wonderful life, Donna L. Miller quietly passed away in the arms of her family on April 20, 2017, after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 8, 1949, in Santa Monica, California and lived in Ventura for the past 40 years. From the restaurant business to her role as the public relations representative for Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association, she could light up a room and bring a smile to everyone’s face. But clearly, her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren, with her kindness and generosity never to be forgotten.
From the many summers in Bass Lake to the fall Saturdays in South Bend with her family, cheering for her beloved Irish, Donna’s impact and memory will always be indelibly inscribed in those that she knew and loved.
She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Ed and Pauline Gregg. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Patrick Miller; and the families of her four beautiful daughters, Christine Maher and husband Pat and their children, Jake, Jenna, Anne and Jane; Nicole Robinson and husband Kyle and their children, Tatum, Marlie, Bryn, Ryker, Olie and Sami; Melissa Brucker and husband Bo and their children, Elizabeth and Derek; and Jessica Miller and fiancé Cameron Meadows. Donna also leaves the Kansas Miller’s, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Patricia and their children Kyle Miller, Chris Miller and Kate Tiehen and her husband Dave. Donna also requested the mention of the beloved Gajdos clan of San Juan Capistrano and South Bend, George, Loretta, Gina, and her family, and Christine and her family were special friends and always there when needed.
A special thanks also goes to Wellness Center in Oak View and their incredible staff. They made the last few months of this journey special.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Hospice of Ojai or Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association of Ventura is requested.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017, 3:00 P.M., at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
Arrangements under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura, CA.
