David Wayne Peterson

David was born April 21, 1942; he passed away September 2, 2010. He came into this world with medical problems, so he was always a fighter.

When diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), over 20 years ago, he had to fight even harder, though he never gave up. When he became bedridden, he kept his sense of humor and kept on smiling.

David graduated from Santa Maria Union High School and Hancock College. He worked for the city of Oxnard driving the S.C.A.T. bus and drove truck for Ventura Petroleum.

He leaves behind his constant and loving companion, of 41 years, Doris; daughter Laura (Dwight) of Bakersfield; brothers: Clifford of Antioch, Gene of Santa Maria, and Chuck of Windsor, CA; granddaughters: Lindsey and Nicole & their families of Bakersfield; many half brothers and sisters and cousins.

Many thanks to Roze Room Hospice and the Victoria Care Center, for all their loving care. There are too many names to mention, but thanks to all of you who cared for David over the years.
