Billy was born on June 13, 1929, in Phoenix City, Alabama of James Frank Allison and Annie Mae Cook. Billy had 13 brothers and sisters; he was the last surviving sibling. He moved to Venice with his wife Martha and family in 1962.
He worked for the Florida Power & Light Company for thirty-nine years. Billy loved the Lord and was an active member of several churches in the area. He always had a smile for everyone and loved his family. He loved travelling to visit family and will be remembered for his support and love to them. He was a fixture in his neighborhood and in recent years could be seen visiting neighbors on his electric scooter.
He is predeceased by his wife Martha and his grandson Wyatt Duyn. He leaves behind his children; Martha Loraine Allison Dasch, Daniel Forrest Allison, and April Anne Allison Duyn as well as thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held March 2 at Calvary Bible Church, 1936 East Venice Avenue, Venice, FL. Visitation will begin at 11 am, with the service starting at noon. Interment will be at Gulf Pines Cemetery in Englewood, FL. Donations may be made to the Calvary Bible Church Mission Fund in lieu of flowers.
