Our son, Mark, was a wonderful son.
He was a gifted attorney and a generous person.
He loved his daughter very much.
He was scheduling his next visit with his precious daughter just before God called him home.
He is loved and missed.

I can’t put into words how sad I am to read about Mark’s passing. Mark and I were good friends in law school. I remember when I first met him the week of orientation and just how genuine he was. We immediately became friends and shared a love for the Steelers and watching football and cooking out together. Mark was real in an environment where most weren’t. He was intelligent, kind, caring and loved to argue about the law and sports. He was fiercely loyal and would give you the shirt off his back. I was always amazed at his ability to read the materials and retain the information in one hour what would take everyone else several hours and come to class and argue anyone under the table. He was my friend and always will be. One of my best memories in life was attending a wide spread show in Portland with him. He was simply one of the coolest and kindest people I have and ever will know. I love you and miss you buddy, Todd. 

I met mark when i was out one night and feeling very down. He was so kind and considerate to my situation. We became friends and it is with great sadness that iseen he had passed. I do now and im sure  always will miss my friend. I don't know the circumstances surrounding his death but my heart goes out to his family and his daughter especially. I love youmy friend. Rest in peace.

It is with much sadness that I read of Mark’s death. He was a high school and college friend of my son in Tuscaloosa. I’ll remember him fondly as I do the other two classmates of theirs who died much too young. My condolences to his family. God’s Peace, Carol Gatewood

Mark was an excellent advocate for his clients and he was fearless in court. I remember arguing opposite Mark up in Tacoma at the Washington Court of Appeals and Mark’s presentation was persuasive and passionate. He just loved to argue and he was very good at it! I remember it well because afterwards, we shared a meal and drink and quite a few laughs. I really appreciated Mark’s intellect and his fierce competitive nature. I’m really going to miss him.

I'd barely gotten a chance to know Mark, but I'll remember him for being incredibly friendly and helpful in the brief span we worked together; when I needed help with advice or legal research in trial, he'd jump in right away, thoughtfully, with what I needed. Even in a short amount of time, I can tell I missed out in not getting to know him more as a colleague and as a person.  His energy and his laughter will be missed.

I never knew Mark as well as some others, but from the time I did know him he was one of the most genuinely friendliest guys I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  Whether it was us rooting for opposite teams in the College Football Championship games, or our love for our respective football teams.  It was always a pleasure to see his smiling face, and genuine personality.  The world has lost a good man, may he never be forgotten.  Godspeed brother.  I will see you again.

This guy was one of a kind... Smart, funny, and genuine. So many memories swirl around my head and they all end in a smile. I'm so sad he won't be here with us to watch his beautiful daughter grow, but I do know that he will always watch over her with that same beautifully crooked smile. I love this guy. I'm so sad he's gone. My love and prayers are with his parents, his loved ones, and especially with precious Madi.... ❤️
