Wing Sung Jung

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Wing Sung Jung, who left us on September 18, 2023. He was 88 years old. He was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and love in our family and community, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

Wing Sung Jung was born on July 1, 1935, in Enping, Guangdong, China. He settled in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where he met the love of his life, Jenny (Ying Lan Jung). Together, they built a family rooted in the values of hard work, perseverance, and unwavering love.

Wing Sung Jung was a devoted father to his children: son Perry (daughter-in-law Lily Lim), daughters Judy (son-in-law Brian Low), and Sandy (son-in-law Richard Chan). He instilled in each of them the importance of education, compassion, and empathy. His wisdom and guidance were instrumental in shaping their lives and values.

Wing Sung Jung was equally proud to be a grandfather to Kendahl, Colby, Nicole, Madison, Caden, Joshua, and Liam. He cherished his Chinese heritage and was deeply proud of his roots, passing down traditions and cultural values to the next generation.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical professionals, friends, and neighbors who provided support and care during Wing Sung Jung's illness. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Wing Sung Jung will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 2023, at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel, located at 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC, phone: 604-255-5444, at 12:30 pm, followed by burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
