It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Russell Thomas Jacobs II fondly known as Tom. Tom was born in Vancouver to his late mother Marion ‘Peach’ Edna (nee Guss) and father Russell Alfred Jacobs. He grew up on Mission Indian Reserve No. 1 and attended St. Paul’s Indian Day School, Queen Mary Elementary, Hamilton Junior High, Carson Graham Senior Secondary, BCIT, Forestry & Watershed Restoration Programs. Tom worked as a Longshoreman with ILWU 500, Ideal Pool & Patio, bottle depot, Evan’s Lake Camp construction, Fisheries, Loggers Inn & Squamish Nation Catering. Tom resided in Waiwakum IR No. 14 for 40 years and is best remembered for his humour & poking the bear, coaching and attending sport events supporting his children, nieces & nephews, weekend get a ways in Chilliwack, camping and his favorite motto ‘Happy Wife, Happy Life’.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Eileen Sylvia Jacobs (nee Lewis); children Elizabeth (Brandon), Russell Ill (Amanda), Brian John (Caitlyn), Grant Vincent; grandchildren Kathleen, Genesee & Dimitri Nahanee-Jacobs, Kamryn, Meah, Konnor, Leahm & Mason Jacobs; Father Russell Jacobs Sr. (Chreanne); brother Johnny & sister Sherrie (Robert); nieces and nephews Rachel Donaldson (Bruce), Damara Jacobs-Peterson (Ryan), Marion, Hailey (James), Brodie, Rhiannon & Kyle; grand nieces & nephews Thomas & Mahalia; god daughter Dawn Harry; aunts & uncles Mabel Guss, George Jacobs Sr. (Christine); Sharon Schorneck , Chief Gibby Jacob (Vivian); special sisters Krisandra Jacobs (Russel), Lori Given & Elva Lewis, Sheila White, April Gregorie, Vi LeBourdais; special brother Willard Johnny; special sons Lionel Philips, Aaron & Robert White; special daughters Melissa Dion, Tanysha & Michaela Amos & Chantel White; brothers in law Allen ‘Bebe’ Lewis II, Randall Lewis and sister in law Linda Williams (Kelvin), Cynthia Lewis, Mary Lewis (Kevin), Francine Lewis (Eric) and many loving relatives and dear friends.
