Paul grew up in Cranbrook B.C. During his formative years he played hockey, rugby and developed many lifelong friends. Whenever he returned home to Cranbrook to visit his family he always made time for his very close friends. Paul was a founding member of Cranbrook’s Mount Baker Senior Secondary rugby team and was a key member of that team. His old coach referred to him as the Italian Stallion.
Paul moved to the lower mainland to attend BCIT and earn his CMA accounting designation working at Wolrige Mahon Chartered Accountants before starting his 30+ year career as VP of Finance at the Adera Group. Although he was an astute numbers guy, he was know for saying “it’s not always about the numbers, it’s about the people you work with.” When Paul was not at work he enjoyed travelling with his friends and then with his wife Elaine whom encouraged him to travel further abroad. His regular “shout” nights with the guys and family events were very important to Paul as he strived to maintain a healthy work life balance. During his short retirement, Paul travelled, spent time watching the Blue Jays, his favourite stock channels and went for regular workouts at Innovative Fitness. All this while keeping his yard and surrounding property meticulous.
Paul will be greatly missed by everyone and is survived by his wife Elaine, brother Bob, Uncle John (Susan), cousins Jacquie (Brian), Michael (Christine), Renee and Jason, Emma and Marlo and their children Alexis, Ben, Geneva, Lauren and Sam.
