Pablo was born in Panama on September 23, 1931 and was the eldest of 8 children. As a youngster, Pablo spent his childhood fishing, canoeing, horseback riding, and playing in the rain forest chasing iguanas and parrots. He loved music, dancing, and reminisced often of fond times with his siblings and cousins.
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of a beloved brother, husband, father and friend, but also with tremendous gratitude for the time we had with him and a life well lived. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the age of 90 in Vancouver, BC. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Mary of 64 years, two daughters, Marie Louise and Catherine Marie and his son-in-law Bryon St. Jean, his remaining siblings Alcibiades, Nelly, Oderay, Virginia, Alvaro and Xenia, nephews and nieces, his cousins Edi and Marino as well as other relatives and close friends.
He enjoyed reaching out to people and teaching them about Bible truths. His faith played an important role in helping him to stay positive and he kept close to his heart Jehovah God’s promise found in Job 14:13-15 and sung in a song:
Friends of our God,
Though they may pass away,
Will never be forsaken.
All those asleep
Who in God’s mem’ry stay,
From death he will awaken,
Then we’ll come
To see all that life can be:
Paradise eternally.
(CHORUS)
He will call; The dead will answer
They will live at his command
For he will have a longing
For the work of his own hand
So have faith
And do not wonder,
For our God can make us stand
And we will live forever,
As the work of his own hand.
A private family service has been held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
